A free California Financing Coordinating Committee (CFCC) Funding Fair will be held Tuesday, August 23, in Alhambra, hosted by the State Water Resources Control Board and its six partner agencies. Following the Alhambra funding fair only one other such event will be held this calendar year. The last 2016 funding fair will be held September 14 at the University of California, Merced.
The funding fairs provide one-stop shopping for those agencies looking for infrastructure funding in California. Each of the participating partners will provide information on their available infrastructure grant, loan and bond financing programs, including funding available from the Water Quality, Supply, and Infrastructure Improvement Act of 2014 (Proposition 1). Attendees will also have the opportunity to speak directly with program staff about specific projects and issues affecting their community.
CFCC Funding Fairs are an opportunity for public works and local government representatives to obtain information on funding currently available for infrastructure projects. Project categories include, but are not limited to: drinking water; wastewater; water quality; water supply; water conservation; water use efficiency; energy efficiency; and flood management. Information is also available from some of the participating agencies for funding other types of infrastructure projects, such as solid waste and community facilities, emergency response vehicles, and streets and highways.
The CFCC was formed in 1998 and is made up of seven funding members: The State Water Board; California Department of Water Resources; California Department of Housing and Community Development; U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development; U.S. Department of the Interior Bureau of Reclamation; California Infrastructure and Economic Development Bank; and CalRecycle.
Since 2000, CFCC members have conducted free funding fairs statewide to educate the public about available financial and technical resources. CFCC members can assist in facilitating and expediting the completion of various types of infrastructure projects by helping customers combine the resources of different agencies.
The fair will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works, 900 South Fremont Avenue, Alhambra, 91803. The schedule for the funding fair is:
- 8:00 to 8:30 a.m. Check-in

- 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. Project discussion with partner agencies
