California Water Service Named a Top Workplace for Eighth Consecutive Year in the Bay Area

The recent 2019 annual recognition ceremony of Top Workplaces in the Bay Area saw California Water Service Group receive the designation for the eighth consecutive year. Top Workplace rankings are determined through survey data gathered by an independent research company specializing in employee engagement and retention.

The Bay Area News Group awarded the distinction to Cal Water based on input from local employees of company’s largest subsidiary, California Water Service (Cal Water). Employees are asked by the independent research company for their feedback on various topics, including career development, company leadership, compensation and training, diversity and inclusion, and family-friendly flexibility and values and ethics.

The water utility company serves about 389,500 people through 110,500 customer connections in Atherton, Cupertino, Livermore, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Menlo Park, Mountain View, Portola Valley, Redwood City, San Carlos, San Mateo, South San Francisco, Sunnyvale and Woodside. Throughout California, Cal Water serves 486,900 customer connections accounting for about 2 million people.
