Reclamation reopens Shasta Dam Visitor Center

The Shasta Dam Visitor Center reopened to the public last Thursday.

Touted by the Bureau of Reclamation as an excellent resource for people who are interested in learning about the Shasta Dam and Central Valley Project, the visitor center has informational displays, a documentary film about the dam’s history, and knowledgeable guides to answer questions.

The Shasta Dam Visitor Center will be open Thursday through Monday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tours inside the dam and powerplant are not available at this time, but visitors can participate in a self-guided walking tour across the top of the dam.
