Marina Coast Water District to begin supplying Seaside with recycled water

Los Angeles opens third recycled water fill station

The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) now has a third Residential Recycled Water Fill Station, this one at Delano Park, 15100 Erwin Street in Van Nuys. The fill station is open every Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

In order to fill-up, residents must bring their LADWP bill and a government issued ID to the fill station, receive a short training at the fill station, submit a signed Recycled Water User Application and Agreement Form, and bring water-tight containers with LADWP-provided stickers on them. Customers can receive up to 300 free gallons of recycled water, per visit.

“In light of the severe drought conditions we are facing, the fill stations help our customers offset the demand for drinking water by taking advantage of recycled water for non-drinking uses, while helping to promote and encourage the acceptance and use of recycled water,” said Anselmo Collins, Senior Assistant General Manager of the Water System.

LADWP’s other two fill stations are located at the Los Angeles-Glendale Water Reclamation Plant, 4600 Colorado Boulevard and the Los Angeles Zoo, 5333 Zoo Drive, both in Los Angeles.
