Lindsay Leahy was recently named Deputy General Manager at Santa Margarita Water District. In her new role, Lindsay will optimize cross-functional teams and work to enhance efficiencies across the District.
Leahy’s degree is in Mechanical Engineering and began her career with a general contractor specializing in constructing water and wastewater treatment plants. She later transitioned to the public sector as a utility engineer for the City of Carlsbad, and then later to the City of Oceanside, where she managed the Water Utility Department’s capital program before becoming Department Director.
Lindsay says that SMWD’s innovative approach to water recycling and local supply development, and the team’s commitment to exceptional service drew her to SMWD. She is excited to be part of a forward-thinking organization dedicated to securing a sustainable water future.
