Last week, Governor Jerry Brown addressed the United Nations climate summit attendees to talk about the California drought during a panel. During his address, he cited the California drought as an effect of climate change.
“Drought is an example of bad things to come. Droughts have been going in California for thousands of years. But this one has been exacerbated by the warming climate … It’s just a very specific wake-up call to get going on climate change initiatives, which California is doing,” Brown told his fellow panelists.
Brown’s predecessor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, joined him to discuss climate change and show how California is addressing the issue, despite the severity of the California drought.
