Severe flooding, sink hole in Vista

A water main break caused flooded driveways and homes in Vista early Friday morning. A water main broke, causing the pavement in someone’s driveway to buckle. Eventually, the buckled pavement caused a massive sinkhole, about the size of a small car.

Several feet of water ran down the street and flooded people’s garages, homes and crawl spaces.

“I woke up to the roar of the water running about 4 feet into my garage and making a mess of everything,” Doris Dow, an impacted homeowner, told CBS 8 in San Diego.

Overall, about 10 homes in the neighborhood were impacted.
