West Basin Water Lab Program Offers Free Interactive Learning Opportunities

West Basin Municipal Water District (West Basin) has announced Water Lab: A Digital Learning
Experience, a collection of online classes and other family-friendly virtual resources available for free to local residents and members of the public. The District is now taking reservations for the new program, which includes a series of online webinars, virtual facility tours, and other educational resources. Participants will be able to explore where water comes from, the different types of water, how water gets recycled and re-used, and what conservation programs are available to help residents and businesses save water.

Water Lab offers multiple opportunities, including a series of free Know Your H2O webinars, each of which will provide an in-depth look at a unique aspect of water. The first class in the Know Your H2O series will take place on September 30 at 5:30 PM, and will teach attendees about where their water comes from, including state and local sources. Additional Know Your H2O classes will be hosted on a monthly basis through February 2021. All class attendees will be sent a District care package filled with items meant to promote health and sustainability.

“West Basin’s Water Lab seeks to build upon the momentum of our Summer Splash virtual education program,” said Gloria D. Gray, President of the West Basin Board of Directors. “These new offerings will provide residents with even more opportunities to learn how reliable water supplies support healthy communities and thriving local economies.”

Registration information and a detailed class schedule is available at www.westbasin.org/water-lab.
