Reclamation increases flow releases from New Melones Reservoir

In order to meet Bay Delta salinity and outflow requirements, the Bureau of Reclamation announced this week a plan to increase flow releases from New Melones Reservoir. Additional flow releases will begin on the lower Stanislaus River on May 10 and will reach a total flow of 1,000 cubic feet per second and again on May 11 to reach 1,500 cfs. This increased flow of 1,500 cfs will likely occur for an extended duration. …
