The Cucamonga Valley Water District (CVWD) has announced its 2017 Water Savvy Landscape Contest intended to recognize customers who have put forth the initiative and resources to install attractive, low-water use landscaping at their homes in order to conserve water. The contest’s purpose is to recognize those residents who are water savvy in planning and maintaining their home’s landscaping.
“Whether rain or shine, it is always important save water and CVWD encourages this through programs like the Water Savvy Landscape Contest,” stated CVWD Board President James V. Curatalo Jr. “The Landscape Contest is a valuable program that enables CVWD to recognize customers who are setting the example for the community through their model landscapes. If you or your neighbors have a water saving landscape, we hope you will apply!”
CVWD has maintained an active outdoor water efficiency program and has provided water education for the district’s customers since 2005 with programs such as the Water Savvy Garden Tour and various drought tolerant landscape workshops.
