Boatwright named to Sacramento Suburban Water District Board

Jay Boatwright, a 40-year District resident with a long history of community service, has been appointed to the Sacramento Suburban Water District (SSWD) Board of Directors.

Mr. Boatwright brings to the position extensive experience as a project manager and executive in the commercial construction industry after recently retiring from a 42-year career. He also has served on the Arden Arcade Community Planning Advisory Council and the San Juan Unified School District’s Facilities, Transportation, and Finance committee, and is a long-time member, past president, and current treasurer of the Rotary Club of Carmichael.

“I am honored to have been selected to represent Division 2,” Boatwright said, “and I look forward to contributing my experience and knowledge to guiding SSWD over the coming years.”

The District is governed by a five-member Board of Directors elected to serve four-year terms. Mr. Boatwright was appointed to fill a vacated seat.

Mr. Boatwright holds a bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering Management from Oregon State University.
